This workshop provides puppies aged 5 to 12 months an opportunity to play off-leash in a secure, supervised setting. The playgroup includes training on calming your puppy after energetic play, identifying appropriate puppy interactions, and techniques for interrupting and redirecting play when necessary. Scheduled breaks will feature discussions on various puppy training topics.

Please Note: If your puppy is reactive toward other dogs, please contact us to ensure they are a suitable fit for this workshop

This workshop aims to improve and refine previously learned obedience and behaviors at all skill levels. We cover a wide variety of obedience skills and social behaviors. Our goal is to tailor this workshop to meet the needs of the students enrolled, so it changes each time. This workshop is ideal for students who have missed a week of obedience class and need a make up session; it is also great for pups that have already had training but need some extra help in solidifying what was taught in class.

Cost for this workshop is $25.

This workshop offers puppies aged 10 weeks to 5 months the chance to participate in supervised off-leash play within a structured and secure environment. The playgroup focuses on understanding appropriate puppy interactions, calming escalated or fearful behaviors, and guiding interruptions and redirections during play sessions. Scheduled breaks will include discussions on various puppy-related training topics.

To participate in class, 2SD requires proof of at least two rounds of the following vaccinations: distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus, and parainfluenza (typically reflected in records as 'DHPP'), as well as bordetella. Proof of rabies vaccination is required for puppies 16 weeks and older.

This Workshop will take you through how to start your walk before you leave the house and the first stages of structured loose leash walking. Getting your pup to follow you because of you, not because of tools or a treat, all you!

This level is appropriate for pups new to our loose leash walking method and those looking to brush up.

Along with greetings, we will cover appropriate leash handling, reading body language, and how to de-escalate and disengage when needed.

You must have attended a Level 1 Meet and Greet (aka just a "Meet and Greet"). The workshop will build on what they learned in Level 1 M&G by understanding the psychology behind the dog's behavior and will also include more dog-dog and dog-human interaction. Join us for a "boo"-tiful Sunday morning Halloween pack walk!  We would love to celebrate Halloween and walk with your pups at Libby Mill.  We encourage you to bring your pup in costume (only if they are okay with that!) and will meet in front of the library so we can start with a pup parade.  

There will be "tricks for treats" and other fun activities interspersed with a hike around the area.  

We also invite you to join us at Hocus-Pawcus event afterwards that will be held in the same vicinity.

Exercising our dog's brains is just as important as exercising their bodies!  This hour long workshop will focus on activities that you can do with your dog to provide mental stimulation and why it is important.

We will cover structured play, including puzzles, as well as the importance of a feeding ritual and tools you can use to make it fun and exciting for your dog.  Additionally, we will incorporate everyday household items that you can use to create your own enrichment activities.

Lastly, we will spend time discussing edible treats (frozen Kongs, lick mats, etc) and send you on your way with recipes to try at home!
