Canine Enrichment Workshop Series

This class will meet over four weeks on Thursdays at 6:30pm. The first class will be a seminar, "people-only", where you will hear about the amazing benefits to this kind of cognitive work, the importance of engagement, we will begin a conversation about nutrition and its importance, and more.. The second and third classes will be interactive and include your pups. We will provide a variety of games, puzzles, toys, and more to introduce you to all of the tools you have at your disposal. The final class will be a seminar specifically on nutrition and its impact on our pups cognition..

All participants will receive a free copy of "Forever Dog" by
Dr. Karen Becker and Rodney Habib and a toy or puzzle appropriate for your pup!

Cognitive work with dogs, often referred to as canine cognition, is a fascinating field that delves into the intricate workings of a dog's mind. It involves exploring their problem-solving abilities, memory, perception, and communication skills. Cognitive exercises challenge dogs to think, adapt, and learn, providing them with mental stimulation and engagement. These activities not only keep their brains active and sharp but also enhance their overall well-being. Cognitive work can include tasks like puzzle toys, obedience training, scent games, and even social interactions, all of which contribute to a happier and more fulfilled canine companion. Engaging in cognitive work with dogs not only enriches their lives but also deepens the bond between dogs and their human counterparts, making it a rewarding and essential aspect of canine care.

Puppy Behavior Basics

Cost: $50

Got a fuzzy, mouthy bundle of energy on your hands constantly jumping on you and others or barking demandingly? If this sounds familiar, this virtual workshop is for you!

In this workshop, Master Trainer and Behavior Specialist Kasey Herrera will overview her approach to addressing a multitude of behavioral issues and concerns we dog parents often have with our pups. This workshop will have a specific focus on puppy behaviors and will cover puppy basics including, but not limited to, potty training, crate training, jumping/mouthing/demand barking, and calming techniques/settles.

It is intended for both those who may already be familiar with the 2SD methodology and approach as well as new clients who may be just starting to learn about such things as owning space, settles, and creating calm.

The workshop should run approximately one to one and a half hours with at least an additional half hour set aside for Q&A.

Though the workshop will be virtual, it will include plenty of live demonstrations over video. A recording will be provided to all registrants.  All registrants will also gain access to additional content and videos through the 2SpeakDog website that will cover things such as sit, down, leave it, etc.
