Look at this sweet boy! Spud is a 5 year old neutered male who is looking for his forever home. Despite his young age, Spud has had a rough start to life. He was transferred in to our program after being in a shelter for over a year. Spud had a hard time before he got to the shelter and as a result, displayed some head shyness. After some weekly training and some good interactions with the shelter staff, he was able to overcome it.

Unfortunately this poor guy's bad luck wasn't over. He was physically abused by two teenagers (yes they were prosecuted). This did make him regress a bit however, after being in his foster home with one of our trainers he has gained trust in us humans again. Since being in our care, Spud has made great improvements with all handling especially around his head and body.

Spud weighs Aprx. 55 pounds and is looking for a family who loves to go on walks just as much as he does. He can be somewhat high energy so he loves to go on as long of a walk as you are up for (and who doesn't love a good afternoon stroll?). One of Spud's absolutely favorite things is being brushed. So much so that gets excited when he sees the brush come out and will dance about. He has been know to resource food so we are not placing him with children. As with all Pen Pals pups, he is neutered, microchipped and up to date on all vaccinations.
