This course will meet on the following Tuesdays & Sundays at the 2SD Studio, situated at Stony Point Fashion Park . Additionally, there will be field trips held in various locations around RVA

NOTE: These are all "out and about" and subject to weather conditions. Any classes that need to be rescheduled will be tacked on to the end of the class and graduation will be pushed.
Got a pup and a travel itch? Look no further! If you're keen on bringing your furry friend along on all your adventures, then our Have Pup, Will Travel Intermediate 1 class is tailor-made for you. Designed as the next step in obedience training, our Intermediate Obedience class is all about getting your pup ready to handle bustling and distracting environments with ease.
In this class, we take things up a notch. We'll fine-tune skills like advanced focus, maintaining a steady stay, reliable recall (even in the midst of excitement), and the essential "leave it" command. But that's not all – we're introducing a range of exciting new skills, as well as some fun tricks that'll surely impress.
What sets this class apart is our practical approach. We venture out into real-world settings, exposing your pup to various public scenarios. This not only helps them learn to behave but also paves the way for them to become an AKC Canine Good Citizen. It's an excellent opportunity for pups of all ages who have already mastered the basics like sit, down, stay, and proper leash manners in public.
At 2SpeakDog, we're all about inclusion. We encourage the whole family to join in, and especially if you have young children, we recommend having two adults attend the class whenever possible. Because training is a team effort!
To enroll in this class, you've got a couple of pathways. If your pup has completed our Basic Level II, they're good to go. Alternatively, if your pup has graduated from Walking Workshop Levels I and II, along with a 45-minute private evaluation and training session (just get in touch with us to schedule), they're more than welcome to join the class.

Qualifications: Completion of Basic Level II OR Pup completes Walking Workshop Levels I and II plus a 45-minute private evaluation/training session (contact 2SD to schedule).
NOTE: To participate in any class, 2SD requires proof of at least two rounds of the following vaccinations: distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus, and parainfluenza (typically reflected in records as 'DHPP'), as well as bordetella. Proof of rabies vaccination is required for puppies 16 weeks and older. We also HIGHLY recommend Caine Influenza (H3N8 & H3n2)
