2SpeakDog is excited to launch our first ever hybrid class! We have combined the curriculum from our former Basic 1 and 2 Obedience classes into one Complete Basic Obedience class, which is designed to keep you and your pup working together while their confidence is growing and your momentum is strong.
This class will alternate between in person and online (video, not live) sessions every other week, and still cover the same obedience commands (sit, down, stay, leave it), behavior modifications (feeding ritual, resource guarding) , and overall good manners (loose leash walking, not jumping, owning space, meet and greets) your pup needs to be the best version of themselves!
As an added bonus, the city and surrounding areas will be your classroom! That's right, no sitting inside to learn - we will be teaching you and your pup how to work with varying levels of distractions and in different environments. At the end of 7 weeks, all pups under the age of 1 (at the time the class started) will still have the ability to test for their AKC STAR Puppy award!
This class is perfect for all dogs aged 6 months and older who have had no or little prior training. Sign up today (or add your name to the waitlist if this class is full) because we want "to speak dog" with you soon!
Masks and Social Distancing are part of our classes - we appreciate you adhering to these practices. DO NOT ATTEND class if you are sick or know you have been exposed to Covid. If you find out you have been exposed after attending a class, please notify us immediately.
BELOW ARE THE WEEKS WE WILL MEET IN PERSON ON THURSDAYS AT 6P - LOCATIONS WILL BE SENT VIA EMAIL AT LEAST 2 DAYS BEFORE CLASS EACH WEEK (if not sooner). 3/25/21 - Week 1 4/8/21 - Week 3 4/22/21 - Week 5 5/6/21 - Week 7 - Will test for AKC STAR Puppy 5/13/31 - Week 8 (Yes, weeks 7 and 8 do meet in person, back to back) 5/27/21 - Week 10 6/10/21 - Week 12 **6/24/21 is an OFF WEEK - keep working on your online assignment!** 7/1/21 - Week 14 - GRADUATION! Please allow 2 hours for this class.
