PLEASE NOTE: Our classes are now held at TobyTown, located at 2100 Maywill St, Richmond, VA 23230 (in the Willow Lawn/Mid-town area). Due to Covid restrictions, we can allow only 1 person to attend with each pup and we do require everyone that attends class to wear a mask and practice social distancing while inside. Got a fuzzy bundle of fur and energy on your hands? If so, our New Puppy Socialization Class is for you! This four-week class caters specifically to pups 10 weeks thru 5 months of age. It focuses on puppy play time, proper puppy body language, learning how to safely socialize your pup, managing common puppy behaviors, calming and focus techniques, and a few basic obedience skills.
This class is designed to work with puppies' short attention spans, and allows for play breaks and puppy down time. Each hour long class session includes an interactive discussion on various topics, including nipping/biting, potty training, crate training, controlled play, and more. This is great for both first-time puppy owners and as a refresher to experienced owners.
Please Note: If you are interested in training two or more dogs, whether they are litter mates or just house mates, please sign them up for classes or workshops individually. We do not recommend having both dogs in the same class, as they will be more successful building confidence on their own, learning to rely on you, instead of their pack mates.
